Hmmmm..
Whatever happened to me? Nothing much really.. I'd oral testing today. Ever tried imagining what its like testing 60 odd kids ranging from 6+ to 11+, their spokenmalay? Let me tell you something, it's horrible!!! Not only was the weather not cooperating, the kids usage of "nahu"(which is grammar for those non-malay speaking ppl out there) is terrible, their malay vocab is interchangeable with words from the Oxford Dictionary(gives a whole new meaning to being a bilingual!!!) BUT, i have to help these kids, how do one propose doing that? By being utterly LENIENT!! Can you guess how many of these BI-LING-UAL kids did well today? Well almost 3/4.. oh well... And Someone came in the midst of it all (i was in the middle of testing a P5 boy)
This was how the convesation went:
Person A: Redha did you teach your kids the 3-parts to oral?
Redha: (pauses and signals to poor kid in front to stop) Errr... Yes, i did. What's the matter? Is it really important?
Person A: Weeellllll.... your kids didn't know the difference between the 3.
Redha: Oh! (pauses to think.... should it matter?)
Person A: But, its alright... Only 2 of them did that.. they couldn't answer my question.
Let me stop right here and point out that it doesn't matter if the kids don't know the difference between the 3 sections, what matters is for the teacher to make them understand the Supposed Qn, ANd PROMPT!
Oh Well...

Quite a few things happened.

Ties were strengthened...

Ties were broken..

Bills were discovered...

Those same bills were paid...

Azack's long distance call from Bangkok cost her $17... ( for the record, i'm glad she called me that day, i really needed her *muackz* THANX, Az :))

-which reminds me that my Darling has yet to tell me how much he had to pay for calling & sms-ing during my 3days in Pahang.. *HUGS* tHAnX cHOOOooo :)

okay... so good bye 2007..
you will be remembered for all your fond memories & your not so fond ones... haha.. oh well :)

Three Weddings & A Funeral

WELLL...

My 3 Friends from JC had tied the knot during the last few months... Firstly Khatijah (30th Sept) followed by Yenny (2nd Dec) and finally.... Norazela (9th Dec).... all looked very radiant and gorgeous on their Special Day.. playing the role of the blushing brides that they are... CONGRATULATIONS DEARS + YOUR RESPECTIVE OTHER HALVES.. May ALLAH Grace your reunions with HIS Blessings.. (AMIN) ('o,')

All these weddings amongst friends makes one look back and reminisce about all those times one go thru before getting to the present.. all those memories.. the good and the bad... the laughters and the tears.. the aces and the failures... my regrets and achievements... falling in and out love.... Well.. haha wat a long list right? well... i'm just saying that i'm glad i've got good friends to go thru this journey with... I owe u guys for helping me grow.. no matter if its yanking me upright or if its by gently & lovingly advising me.. (ha ha) it's still guiding... ;) i juz hope i'd done the same for you ......

Well, on a much more sombre note (depends on how you look @ it)

A close friend of mine suffered the death of a loved-one in the family...

I went to teach my cuz tuition today and spoke to my Dear Grandma... She teared up when she reminded me this... To give a gift of Al-Fatihah after each prayer for my late grandpa...

something I've forgotten to do in a long long time...

well... To that particular friend (i hope u are alright) and to all of you out there s well (who are nice enough to read what i've written so far) lets take moment to remember them; the faithful departed -Al Fatihah...

**i'm sorry i couldn't join u guys for a catching up session aft the wedding.. will do it sometime soon... ;)

i apologise for the lack of news on this blog seems like i've been totally lazy to update anything...

lemme see... first and foremost....
1. I finally got in!!!! Alhamdulillah (my journey finally begins...)
2. I got to view my sister's new flat at Hougang... ILOVE it!!! It's a rather quiet and peaceful neighbourhood... And it's on the 2nd floor! haha i wonder if it means the next person in line must get a house on the 3rd floor... kha kha kha.. Well Mummy & kak Nor, i know u guys can't help it.. but don't overstress yourselves... nothing a loaded shotgun can't solve... wait a min... more like a bucketful of warm soap water and a few good scrubs to wash all the problems away.. :)

3. Well.. there's the meet-the-parent(note the singular)-session coming up.... (well, i'm alittle nervous abt that)
4. And oh.. I got a sweet bouquet of flowers from my Darling yesterday... no particular occasion.. sweet ain't it :). I wish i could return the gesture :) Well Darling, i'll do something even nicer for you next time... insyaAllah
